Crockpot Pork Balsamic & Brown Sugar Glazed

Ingredients

PORK RUB

  • 1 pound pork loin
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 2 slices onion
  • ½ cup water

GLAZE

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce - low sodium

Instructions

  • butter - heat the butter in a skillet or the skillet setting in the crockpot
  • combine and add sage, salt, pepper, garlic and onion to butter
  • sear the meat on all sides
  • lower crockpot to low and add 1/2 cup water
  • cook on low for about 6 to 7 hours

GLAZE - make ahead or right before serving

  • head small sauce pan
  • combine - brown sugar, cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, water and soy sauce
  • heat and stir until glaze thickens
  • remove meat from crockpot and slice
  • drizzle glaze on meat - serve
