King Cake Bites

These King cakes Bites are like a party in your mouth! Let the good times roll!! Creamy cinnamon cream cheese blend folded into a soft dough and topped with icing and sprinkles… D-E-L-I-S-H!!!! The best part is how simple they really are!

Pecan cream stuffed spiced French toast inspired by King Cake

These can be served right out of the oven or cooled down. Personally, thought hey were best just after they cooled down. Although the ones I snuck the next morning with my coffee were pretty tasty!!

King Cake Bites

Creamy cinnamon cream cheese filling rolled in soft dough and topped with sweet icing – HEAVEN!

Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent rolls

KING CAKE BITE – filling

  • 8oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar – sifted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

KING CAKE BITE – icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar – sifted
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • sprinkles green, purple, gold sprinkles

Instructions

  • Make the filling first and set aside

KING CAKE BITE – filling

  • Beat the 4 ingredients for the filling until creamed

ASSEMBLE KING CAKE BITES

  • unroll the crescent rolls, cut into 4 rectangles and pinch the seams together
  • spread the filling on to the rectangle, fold into 3rds, then cut into 3rds, pinch the edges
  • BAKE 350 for 15 minutes
  • prepare icing while they bake

KING CAKE BITE – icing

  • blend the 3 ingredients for the icing, you might need a bit extra cream (milk can be used as well) add it slowly and let it sit for a minute
  • brush the glaze on and sprinkle with sprinkles

Sifting is ALWAYS suggested for the powdered sugar.

No need to grease the pan.
