Groundhog Day – let’s get our forecast from a rodent
Will he see his shadow? Groundhog Day – let’s get our forecast from a rodent! At this point is feels like Spring will never come. While we wait for the rodent to pop out of his hole and the flowers to bloom let’s have a treat!
“They” say that the rodent is about 35% accurate! It is an old Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that says when the groundhog pops out of his burrow on Groundhog Day he will either see his shadow or he will not and this shall predict our winter season. Sounds super scientific!
Clear weather – means he sees his shadow – he will pop back down an we will have 6 more weeks of winter.
Cloudy weather – means he will not see his shadow and Spring will come early!

These call for THREE ingredients. Little brownie bites, frosting and Teddy Grahams (sprinkles are optional. I found my brownie bites at the bakery but you can use little bites they work great as well. Teddy Grahams was about half a little pack (and broke their legs off). The grass is a can of frosting and some sprinkles. Simple and cute!
