- Santa Table
- Holly Jolly Section
- Dinning are with amazing lights.
This is one of my favorite Christmas sections. The kids are just now phasing out of “Santa” which is sad… but they still run towards this table everyday. The Advent calendar is filled nightly by the Christmas Fairy… which existed long before that pesky elf crap. She usually leaves a sweet treat for each child nightly. This year the fairy plans on leaving LARGE candies and maybe even a tiny tinsel tree, because covid sucks and these kids have been awesome.
NEVER enough glitter for me… this table cloth is EVERYTHING! When the sun hits it during the day it is just amazing!
This year we added the trees from Hobby Lobby (I think) and the radio from Aldi. A friend had seen the radio there and we ran right over and snatched it up… goes perfectly!
Table Cloth – these are intended for weddings. I have ordered them in about 6 different colors and use them through the year – mostly Christmas though. Love them! I usually put a whit table cloth under them. Right now the red is being used under the gingerbread houses the kids built and the gingerbread colored one is under the Gingerbread houses. We have a larger one like the one below that will be used on New Years Eve.
This sign did NOT make the final cut for the table, but is nearby under the tv.
Christmas Chocolate Fairy
It started out as The Chocolate Fairy… over time she started bringing different kinds of candies. Now she is just the Christmas Fairy. This year… like some years in the past… she started a little late. The little do not miss candies – they are just delivered all at once when she decides to show up.
I have been putting decorations above this mirror for years! I think the family just realized I have been hot gluing the shit outta things to get them to stick. I mean why not… no one ever sees the top of the mirror anyways… plus we bought it from a legit barn sale.
Dinning are with night club / brothel lights
The best part of early morning coffee… enjoying the lights alone in the quiet for just a few moments. These lights are amazing. I Attached them right behind the curtains. There is a little white hook at the top of each strand that fit perfectly on the curtain grommet.
Christmas Fairy strikes again…. information about this above in the Santa Table sections.
JOLLY HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS SECTION
Most of this was purchased last year and the year before at Michael’s. Hula Santa is this year’s purchase from DILLARD’S! Mark just had to have him! The snowman was a great find at Cracker Barrel last year. A few were gifted to me from my mama. The phone is interactive and I have no idea where it came from – but you can call Santa on it. I was able to find one on Amazon and the link is below. Click the phone.
I really need to get a better frame for around the thermostat…. send me a link if you know of any. White would be great.
Santa jack in the box has been moved since this was taken – he found a home in the bathroom.
Jolly Holiday is now where the Santa was. His legs broke – but luckily they were found.
STAR WARS HOT COCOA BOMB
Alright hot cocoa bombs have been hard to find. Our Publix has these… I was able to find online. Click the picture or here for the link…
RANDOM CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
Imperfectly Perfect Christmas Tree
WOW – it is hard to just let this thing be! Does anyone else notice the garland just above halfway? Do you move the ornaments and adjust the tree after you family moments of decorating the tree? There are few things going on here with this tree.
Location of the Christmas Tree – tree licker
Not a fan of where the tree is located this year. However, a new puppy means we need to be careful. The tree has a fake snow effect on the tree (because that’s the only good kind) and she likes to lick it. That’s all just lick it – pretty sure that will kill her so we stuck baby in the corner.
Lights, Garland, Ornaments
Next up we have the lights. Mark set up the tree, fluffed it and then thought he could not find the cord to the top half of the tree because the whole top would not light up. So we scratched finishing the tree this weekend and sat down to watch Christmas Vacation. This is of course after we had an arguments as to why we could not decorate the tree and THEN add lights. Lights, Garland and then Ornaments…. in that order! Only Savages add the lights AFTER!
As we are watching the Clark pick the tree in the forest and the family is all standing around admiring the tree…. the lights on the top of our tree came on. Seriously Clark is was AMAZING!
DECORATING THE TREE
As the years pass I care less and less about where the ornaments are placed. The kids are old enough to not break them and to do it in a timely manner. I loved decorating it when they were little but my god it took forever! This garland though…. it is driving my bananas!!!
TALL WINDOW CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
Not sure why I always wait to do this… maybe it’s the ladder… maybe the spiders I have to clean up. It isn’t hard I just procrastinate this section.
SNOW BABY TABLE
Lala and Pap give the kids a different one every year for this section. They are the cutest little guys! I can not decide which I like the best!
